Release notes - September 2026

This release makes booking and managing spaces easier. It adds a booking map to the iOS and Android apps, simplifies how people find and join events, and makes booking times more consistent on the web.

Highlights

  • See bookings on the floorplan in the iOS and Android apps.

  • Find and join events more easily, with a clearer management workflow for organisers.

  • Enable email notifications for environmental alerts when needed.

  • Identify walk-in bookings on shared kiosks by the name of the person they are for.

  • Use improved booking defaults, maps, reports, sign-in, and integrations.

Maps & Booking

Booking map on iOS and Android

The iOS and Android apps add a Booking map. Use the map’s layer control to switch between the Booking map, which shows reservations, and the Occupancy map, which shows live sensor information where sensors are installed. Choose Now, Next 1 hour, or Custom to see bookings for the time you need. You can also show or hide available map layers, including colleague assignments where enabled.

Assigned desks are easier to identify from colleagues’ profile photos. On the web, these photos are now also bigger.

Space outlines and device icons have also been improved across the maps. The booking map now loads faster, particularly in buildings with many spaces.

Improved space rendering on both iOS and Android -

Pre-filled booking times on the web

On the web, booking forms now use consistent pre-filled dates and times whether you start from the + button, Occupancy map, or Booking map. Administrators’ default durations for each space type are respected. Review the selected time before confirming a booking, particularly when switching between Now and a longer time range.

Floorplan annotations

Space planners can add labels, shapes, arrows, and zones in the map editor. When this feature is enabled for your organisation, saved annotations appear on the floorplan across web and mobile, and can be edited later.

Events

The Events page is now organised into Upcoming, Attending, and Past. You can find and join events there, including events without a capacity limit. The iOS and Android apps use the same tabs, and the Hosting tab has been removed there too. Event creation and editing now take place in the management console; event managers should use that console instead of the former Hosting tab.

Managers can edit published events without first unpublishing them. Reminder and announcement settings now display and retain their saved values. Unpublish removes an event from view without deleting it; Delete replaces the previous Cancel action and notifies attendees when a published event is deleted. Check the selected action before making changes to a live event.

Environmental alert notifications

Building managers can receive email when an environmental alert starts and, optionally, when it clears. Existing alerts will not start sending email automatically. To use notifications, an administrator must turn on the organisation notification setting and choose Off, Notify on start, or Notify on start and end for each trigger. Recipients can manage their own notification preference in their profile. Emails go to the managers of the building where the alert occurred

Kiosk

  • Kiosk booking names: Where enabled for your organisation, a walk-in booking made from a shared kiosk requires a Booked for name. The name appears on the booking in maps, booking lists, and meeting-room displays, making it easier to identify who is using the room.

  • Kiosk map choice: Building administrators can choose which map types appear on kiosk screens without changing the maps available on users’ own devices. Existing kiosk settings continue to work until changed.

Studio management

Studio managers can view and export a filtered CSV of studio bookings. For configured studios, confirmed bookings grant the organiser and attendees Salto access for the booking period. These features are available for organisations using Studio management.

AI & Analytics

Where Spaceti AI is enabled, the assistant can use additional Insights and anonymised booking information. Generate Now lets you run a scheduled report immediately instead of waiting for its next scheduled time. Older chats display their charts correctly when reopened.

Passport — login

The sign-in screens have an updated design. Spaceti has also improved its Passport sign-in service and addressed several mobile and web login issues. No action is needed from you or your users.

Spaceti MCP

Connected Spaceti MCP clients can access additional information, including raw sensor readings, according to their configured access. Organisations using this integration can contact their Spaceti representative about setup and availability.

Hardware & Integrations

  • PointGrab people counters: Supported counters can supply occupancy data to the live map, analytics, and the people-count widget once configured.

  • Outlook and online meetings: Meeting-room resource syncing has been improved. Organisations using the new Outlook Calendar integration can ask Spaceti Support to hide the online-meeting (Teams/Zoom) option on meeting-room reservations. Existing meetings keep their links.

Digital Reception

Organisations using the visitor NDA flow can connect Adobe Sign as an alternative to DocuSign. Visitors sign during check-in; the signed document stays in the connected signing service. To connect Adobe Sign, contact Spaceti Support. The NDA flow is still enabled per building, as before.

Mobile

In addition to the new Booking map, iOS includes login and parking booking fixes, and Android includes improved navigation and an Android 10 launch fix. Update to iOS 5.3.0 or Android 5.8.0 to receive the mobile changes when your organisation makes the app available.

Microsoft Teams app

Improvements have been made to sign-in and several views.

Quality of Life Improvements

Required fields in locker preferences are clearer, and automatic release fields accept numbers only. Text and translations have been improved, including plural forms in Czech and Ukrainian.

Bug fixes

Notable fixes include more reliable live map updates, a kiosk booking screen that no longer remains on a past date, improved meeting-room Outlook synchronisation, corrected parking reservations on iOS, and an Android launch fix for devices running Android 10.

Common questions

Do I need to update the mobile app?

Yes, to use mobile changes such as the Booking map, install iOS 5.3.0 or Android 5.8.0 when available through your app store or organisation. Web updates do not depend on a mobile update.

What is the difference between the Booking and Occupancy maps?

The Booking map shows reservations for a selected time. The Occupancy map shows sensor readings where occupancy hardware is configured. A reservation does not by itself prove that someone is physically present, and a sensor reading is not a reservation.

Will environmental alerts start emailing everyone?

No. The organisation setting is off by default and existing triggers remain off until an administrator configures them. Emails are intended for the managers of the affected building, subject to their personal notification preferences.

Where do I create or edit an event now?

Use the management console. Use the Events page to browse and join events. If you managed events through the former Hosting tab, go to the management console instead.

What happens when I unpublish or delete an event?

Unpublish hides it and can be reversed. Deleting a published event removes it and sends a notification to attendees.

Will kiosk bookings show the kiosk account or the visitor’s name?

When Booked for is enabled, the kiosk asks for the person’s name and shows it on the booking. This option is off by default. Contact Spaceti Support to enable it for your organisation.

Will my login method change?

No action is needed. The sign-in screens have a new design. If anyone has trouble signing in, contact your administrator or Spaceti Support.

Who can help if a feature is missing or behaves unexpectedly?

Contact your organisation’s Spaceti administrator or Spaceti Support. Include your organisation, building, device and app version, the steps you took, the time of the issue, and a screenshot if possible.
