This release introduces badge printing support for Digital Reception tablets and a new administrative Kiosk Mode section.
New Features
1. Badge Printing
Digital Reception now supports badge printing directly from the tablet during visitor check-in.
This allows reception staff to print visitor badges instantly as part of the registration process.
Supported Printers
Badge printing is supported for the following Brother QL series printers (Android integration):
Brother QL-820NWBc (primary supported model – fully tested)
Brother QL-810W
Brother QL-800
Other Brother printers may appear during device discovery. However, printing is only guaranteed for the models listed above.
Supported Connection Types
Wi-Fi
Bluetooth (Classic + BLE discovery)
USB cable
Supported Paper Rolls
DK-22205 – continuous, black & white
DK-44205 – continuous, black & white
DK-44605 – continuous, black & white
DK-11202 – pre-cut, black & white
DK-22251 – continuous, black & red on white (supported, but badges print in black & white only)
Important: The paper roll selected in the app must match the roll inserted in the printer. If the roll types do not match, the Brother SDK will return an error and the badge will not print.
2. Kiosk Mode (Administrative Section)
A new Kiosk Mode administrative section has been added to the Digital Reception app.
This section allows administrators to:
Discover and install application updates
Configure Kiosk behavior settings
Manage device configuration
Configure badge printer connection (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB)
Device Provisioning Support
Kiosk Mode supports both:
A) Devices provisioned as Device Owner (full device management mode)
B) Devices without Device Owner privileges (installed via Google Play, App Tester, or manual APK installation)
Available configuration options may vary depending on provisioning type.
Limitations and Important Notes
Badge printing is currently available on Android only.
Printing reliability is guaranteed only for the supported Brother QL models listed above.
Badge output is black & white, even when using red/black roll types.
Paper roll type mismatch will prevent printing.

Migration
No special migration steps are required. After updating the Android app to version 1.4.2 (29), the new features become available automatically.
