Outlook calendar rooms not syncing in Spaceti after switching from a legacy Outlook authentication

Updated over a week ago

Why are some meeting rooms not syncing with Outlook in Spaceti?

This can happen after switching from a legacy Outlook authentication to the new restricted setup. In some cases, rooms still have historical access enabled on the Outlook side but are not fully re-connected in Spaceti. As a result, the configuration looks correct, but the room does not sync as expected.

Is this a bug in Spaceti?

No — this is expected behavior in scenarios where many rooms were previously connected and then reintroduced gradually under a new authentication method. The rooms need to be explicitly re-bound in Spaceti to ensure the new connection is applied correctly.

How can I fix this?

The fix is simple and can be done directly in Spaceti:

  1. Go to Resource Connections

  2. For the affected room, clear the resource email (leave it empty) and save

  3. Add the correct room email address again and save

This forces the room to reconnect cleanly using the new authentication setup.

Do I need to do this for all rooms?

We recommend starting with one non-working room first. If it starts syncing correctly, you can apply the same step to the remaining affected rooms.

How long does it take for the change to take effect?

In most cases, the change takes effect within a few minutes. We recommend allowing up to 10–15 minutes for full propagation.

What if the room still doesn’t sync after that?

If the room does not sync after 15 minutes, please contact Spaceti Support at support@spaceti.com and we’ll investigate further.

Can Spaceti do this for us?

If needed, Spaceti Support can guide you through the process on a call or assist directly, depending on access and preference.
