Overview
The .ics all-day booking blocker feature allows users to automatically add their workspace or parking reservations from Spaceti into their personal calendars. Whenever a booking is created, updated, or deleted, Spaceti sends the reservation owner an email that includes both the booking details and an attached .ics file.
When the .ics file is added to a calendar (such as Outlook, Google Calendar, or Apple Calendar), the booking appears as an all-day event. This ensures the user’s calendar stays up to date, avoids double-booking, and makes it easier to manage reservations in one place.
How It Works
When a booking is created, changed, or canceled, Spaceti automatically sends an email.
The email contains:
Key booking details (space name, building, address, date, and time).
A link to view the booking in the Spaceti web dashboard.
An attached
.icsfile with all-day reservation information.
Adding the
.icsfile to a calendar blocks the day with a reservation entry.
This feature supports:
Bookings made directly by the user or on behalf of others.
Bookings that require approval.
How to Enable the Feature
By default, the feature is disabled. Users can enable it in their profile settings:
On Mobile
Navigate to: Settings → Features → Email with .ics all-day booking blocker
On Web (User view)
Navigate to: User Profile → Email with .ics all-day booking blocker
On Web (Admin view)
Navigate to: Users → Detail → Email with .ics all-day booking blocker
Important Notes
This configuration is applied at the organization (Account) level, so it covers all buildings linked to the user.
Users can enable or disable it at any time.
