Stations (Admin)
Updated over 2 weeks ago

The primary added value of this feature is to enable users to book parking spaces and, optionally, book an EV charger in more seamless and efficient way.

If your EV charging solution has only one EV charger for two parking spaces. Users can select their preferred time slot, and f.e. during the lunch break, the first user will unplug the charger, allowing the second user to plug it in. Additionally, users will receive timely notifications to remind them when their charging time is about to expire or begin.

The system is fully automated, simplifying the process of reserving both parking spaces and chargers while ensuring efficient use of shared resources.

1. Create a new Station type

Initially, no station type has been created. Please follow the guide and create at least the first one.

A station type can be, for example, the "EV Charger."

Once the station type is created, the system will redirect you to the specific station type management page.

Edit & delete the Station type

It is possible to edit or delete an already created station type by clicking on "Edit" next to the "Add Station" button on the right-hand side.

2. Create a new Station

On the Station type management page, follow the guide to create one or more specific stations using the "Add Station" operation. A station could be, for example, a specific Electric Vehicle Charger, assigned to particular parking spots.¨

Each station needs to have the following details:

  • Name: Provide a name for the charger, ideally unique.

  • Floor: Select the building floor where the station (or charger, in this case) is located.

  • Space(s): Select one or more parking spaces to which the station (or charger) physically belongs.

Once the unique station is created, the system will redirect you back to the specific station type management page.

Edit & delete the Station

It is possible to edit or delete an already created station by clicking on "Edit" at the end of the row of the specific station, under the "..." menu.

3. Create a new Schedule

On the Station type management page, make sure you are on the specific station type tab. Then, navigate to "Edit," where you can create a new schedule. Each schedule is defined by one or more time slots for station reservations.

On the station type edit screen, click on "Add New Schedule."

Enter a schedule name and confirm it, for example, "EV Charger Schedule 1."

Once the unique schedule is created, the system will return you to the specific station detail screen, where you can view the list of schedules.

It is possible to edit or delete an already created schedule by clicking on "Edit" at the end of the row for the specific schedule, under the "..." menu.

In the schedule edit view, you can create and define specific time slots and their applicable periods.

4. Create a new Time slot

In the next step, within the schedule configuration, you need to define:

  • From: The start date from which the schedule will be active and slots will be available.

  • To: The end date until which the schedule will be active and slots will be available.

In the second step, add the specific time slot. You need to provide the following information:

  • Name: The name of the slot, which will be visible to users when creating a reservation.

  • From: The date and time from which the time slot will become available.

  • To: The date and time by which the time slot will become unavailable.

You can add one or multiple time slots.

Important: After the schedule is published, you will no longer be able to adjust the time slots. However, you can delete, rename, or modify the "To" (end) time of the slots.

Once you're ready, click Save Changes. The updated information will then be displayed in the table on the charger detail page.

Alternatively, if you don't plan to make any further changes and want to immediately apply the schedule, click the **Publish** button.

5. Associate the new station type with the activity

To complete the station configuration, you need to associate the station type with a specific activity. To do this, navigate to Buildings ManagementActivitiesEdit the specific activity, in this case, Parking.

On the bottom left side, within the Associated Station Type(s) field, select one or more station types that you want to bind to the activity.
