MOTIVATION

This article will help you understand how to enable, export and print out the QR codes in the Spaceti system. In order to use the “QR code check-in” functionality, it is necessary to attach printed QR codes to a specific space (workstation/meeting room).

ENABLE QR CODE CHECK-IN

The QR code check-in can be enabled/disabled on the Spaceti dashboard under BOOKINGS > SETTINGS. Specific workplace types such as workstations, meeting rooms, parking spaces and common spaces are enabled/disabled separately.

EXPORT QR CODES

QR codes can be exported to PDF from the Spaceti dashboard under MY BUILDINGS > SPACES. You can filter specific floor, space types or search by space name and click on DOWNLOAD QR CODES to generate the PDF file.

Note: exporting a large number of QR codes for spaces can take a long time (up to 5 minutes).

PRINT QR CODES

You can easily print QR codes on your own. Make sure you choose the proper material to keep the quality of print for a long time (e.g., water-resistant during the cleaning process and overall mechanically durable).

MATERIAL

QR codes can be printed on standard paper with adhesive but we strongly recommend printing on materials like polyester, polythene, or PVC to keep the quality of the image and durability.

PRE-CUT SHAPE

You can print on A4 size and then cut by scissors or you can use pre-cut labels on A4 sheets which can be easily loaded to the printer.

PDF generated from the Spaceti dashboard is standardized to match recommended label size (63.5 x 46.6) mm (for more details see recommended material section).

MATERIAL RECOMMENDED BY SPACETI

You can purchase directly or through Spaceti one of the recommended materials:

  • make sure you have the proper material/A4 sheet prepared and loaded into the printer manual tray (depending on the capability of your printer to print thicker material); adjust paperweight in printer settings to paper ~185 g/m2

  • download selected space from the Spaceti dashboard as a PDF

  • configure the printer

    • to print from the manual tray (if it's the case)

If all is set properly you should get a result similar to this:

Then you can easily attach labels of the specific workstations to the desk and enable users to check in via QR code.
