Small Display Support for the Spaceti Meeting Room App
The Spaceti Meeting Room app automatically adjusts its layout for smaller devices. If the device running the app has a height or width (the smaller of the two) below 600 dp (density-independent pixels), the display is treated as small and the interface switches to a compact layout.
The exact switch point depends on the combination of screen size and resolution (dp). As a general guideline, a 7" tablet typically displays the standard (large-screen) layout, while most smartphones and smaller tablets use the compact layout.
On small displays:
The interface uses a side menu.
The “Find another space” button (map navigation) is not shown due to screen size limitations.
Core functionality remains the same as on standard displays.
The remote activation process also uses a slightly different layout on small devices, but the functionality and security remain unchanged.
Additionally, very small devices display a QR code for the space, which can be accessed through the side menu.
Crestron LED Support
We have added LED light support for Crestron devices, enabling the Spaceti Meeting Room app to control device LEDs in the same way as with other supported hardware.
The LED colors indicate the room status as follows:
Green – Space available
Red – Space occupied
Yellow – Check-in available
LED indicators on the device improve the visibility of the space status in the office, allowing users to quickly see whether a meeting room is available or in use.
Currently, the following Crestron models are supported:
TSS-770
TSS-1080
TSS-470E
Support for Different Space Types (e.g. Workspaces)
The Spaceti Meeting Room app now supports multiple space types, allowing administrators to configure the app to manage spaces other than meeting rooms.
When setting up the app, it is now possible to select a specific space type and then choose a particular space within that type for the device to manage. The selected space type acts as a filter, displaying only spaces of that category.
Previously, the Meeting Room app supported meeting rooms only. With this enhancement, devices running the app can now be used to manage and book other types of spaces, such as:
Workspaces
Parking spaces
Other custom space types
The space type selection can be configured in two ways:
During the physical setup of the tablet on site
Remotely through the Spaceti Web Admin (similar to the existing setup process described here, with the addition of the space type selection step).
Support for Fixed / Assigned Spaces
The Spaceti Meeting Room app now clearly indicates when a space has been permanently assigned to a specific user for a particular day.
If a space is assigned, this status is visibly displayed on the tablet, and the space cannot be booked directly through the device.
Assigned spaces can be managed in the Spaceti Web Portal:
Go to Space Detail
Open the Bookings tab
Create or manage the assignment there
This feature helps prevent accidental bookings of spaces that are reserved for specific users.
