Release notes - March 2026 - iOS and AN

This release introduces improvements to map usability, search capabilities, newsfeed management on mobile, and enhancements to workspace administration and analytics.

Updated this week

What’s New

1. Updated Default Map Layers Based on User Role

We are updating the default visibility of map layers in the mobile app to better reflect user roles and simplify the map experience.

What Is Changing

The number of visible map layers has been reduced for selected user roles to make the interface clearer and easier to use.

Spaces layers will:

  • Be visible by default.

  • No longer appear in the map layer selector (users cannot toggle them on or off).

Roles Without Changes

The following roles are not affected by this update:

  • Manager

  • Data Analyst

  • Admin

These roles will continue to have access to all map layers and can configure them in the map layer selector as before.

2. Improved Visibility of Manually Updated Status

We have enhanced the visibility of the personal status in the In the Workplace feature when a user manually updates their status to:

  • In the Office

  • Out of the Office

When a status is changed manually, it is now displayed more prominently, making it easier for users and their colleagues to recognize the update.

This improvement has been implemented across all platforms:

  • iOS

  • Android

  • Web

3. Map Search – Space Allocation Searchable (iOS, Android, Web)

We are expanding the map search functionality to make it easier to find people and their assigned workspaces.

What’s New

Users can now search for:

  • People

  • Their fixed (assigned) workspace allocations

This enhancement is available in:

  • Booking section (Web Portal)

  • Occupancy Map (Web Portal, iOS, and Android)

Previously, users could search for:

  • Spaces

  • Markers

  • Sensors

With this update, people are now included in search results, making it easier to locate colleagues and their assigned workspaces.

4. People & Assigned Space in Search

Search results now display users together with their assigned workspace within the selected building.

Search Behavior

  • Only users with a workspace allocated in the filtered building are searchable.

  • If a user exists in the Spaceti system but does not have a workspace allocated in that building, they will not appear in search results.

  • Regular bookings and meetings are not included in search results.

  • User profiles are not clickable — only the assigned space can be selected.

Displayed Information

User details:

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Email

  • Profile photo

Space details:

  • Space type icon

  • Space name

  • Building

  • Floor

  • Space type

  • Allocated days

Allocated days represent the permanent workspace allocation configured for that space. These days are displayed regardless of whether the space was temporarily released by the user.

When selecting a space from the search results, the map opens with the space highlighted, and its details displayed:

  • Sidebar (Web)

  • Bottom sheet (Mobile)

6. Newsfeed Management on iOS

Users can now create, edit, and delete newsfeed posts directly from the iOS mobile app.

This update allows for easier and more flexible news management on the go, without needing to access the web portal.

7. Improved Visibility of Selected Space

The visibility of a selected space on the map has been enhanced to make it more clearly distinguishable.

This improvement is available on:

  • iOS

  • Android

  • Web

New versions:

Spaceti iOS App: 4.1.0

Spaceti Android App: 5.3.0
